Sorry it has taken me so long to blog about our new baby, but for some reason, sleep has been more of a priority for me lately.(: I ended up having our baby on the 16th. Labor took a little longer than my normal labors, I guess he wasn't quite ready to make an appearance. Anyway, everything went well. He weighed 8lbs and was 20 inches long. Many of you know, that we were most likely going to name him Jake, but after he was born, we decided that that didn't quite fit. So we moved on to Jackson. For some reason, I couldn't call him that. So after a day of being asked over and over, we decided that we needed to figure out a name. Mike's mom was trying to give us ideas, and she said "Spencer." As soon as she said it, Mike and I both knew that that was the one. We actually were going to name Whitney that if she would have been a boy. So it's been on our list for a while. It is also my brother's middle name, and we kind of like him, (; so it worked. We used "D" for his middle name, because that is Mike's twin brothers middle name. Also it stands for Dennis (Mike's dad), Dale (Mike's grandpa), Dean (My grandpa), Dad (my dad)(: and David (my brother). It kind of just took care of a lot of people. Anyway, we are all sooooooo glad that Spencer is finally here. He is a totally mellow baby (thank heavens), so it has been a lot of fun to have him here. Thanks so much to all of you who have helped us out in so many ways.The always fun, group shot.As you all know, I was a little worried about Ethan, and how he would respond to a human baby.(: It was so cute, as soon as he saw Spencer, he just started kissing and hugging him, over and over again. He is still really cute with him.Right after I had Spencer, my mom and dad and my grandma, brought the kids over to the hospital so they could all see him. My cute kids
My handsome boys The next day, Dennis and Cathy came to the hospital to visit. These are the pretty flowers that Mike got me. (Thanks Kelly) And now all the fun begins. Let's just say, no more clean house.(;

Miss Springville

For the last 5 years, I have been involved with the Miss Springville/ Mapleton pagent. I know I am not the first person you would think of when you think of pageants, but I totally love it! The last 4 years I have been a hostess, which pretty much means that you are a girls mom through the whole pageant. Mom's are'nt allowed to go to most of the workshops or help the night of the pageant, so you are the one who does all of that with the girl. This year I was put in charge of the hostesses. I have totally loved this job. I still get to go to everything, but I didn't have the stress of running back and forth trying to help a girl get ready for the pageant. Which by the way, I have done 9 months pregnant before.(; Anyway, for the last 2 years I have been a hostess to a girl named Cathy. She is probably the smartest person I have ever met. Anyway, she decided to do the pageant again this year, so I had my friend Liz be her hostess. She ended up winning the pageant. she did totally awesome and I am so proud of her.
Cathy (Miss Springville/Mapleton 2009) and my cute girls. I totally don't know why I cut her crown out of the picture, but oh well.

Ethan is convinced that I am having a baby cow! Every time I tell him that it is a baby brother he says, "No, baby cow." I hope he's not too disappointed when it is JUST a baby brother.(;

5th grade science fair

Whitney was so excited to participate in the 5th grade science fair this year. (I'm being a little sarcastic.) Anyway, thank goodness she has a grandma who loves science (thanks mom) who helped her with her project. She decided to grow crystals. I was really impressed with her poster. She really did most of it all by herself. Good job Whit.
