California 2012 - Heading Home

I know this is all posted backwards (our last day first), but I'm a little ocd, and I have to post in order of the dates.  Anyway, we woke up Friday morning, packed up, and headed home.  It's always hard to leave Disneyland, but it's always nice to be home.  We stopped in Vegas on the way home and shopped a little and stayed in a hotel.  On Saturday, we stopped in St. George to have lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Boynton, and the Cordero family.  This really was such a fun trip, I loved every minute of it!
We had to get a picture at our condo's to show our awesome view!

Dalaney and Boston

If you're ever in St. George, you need to eat at Marv's Drive-in.  Their shakes are the best!
Ethan and Boston in their twinner Jack shirts.

The boys had to show off all of their fun souvineers.

California 2012 - Disneyland Day 4

The big plan on day 4 was to see Minnie Mouse.  That is who Spencer kept saying over and over that he wanted to see.  Finally we got to see her and get some pics.  We also had to get in our GIANT corndog lunch before we were done.(:  We ende our night in California Adventure and I also got to catch up with one of my old roomies from Snow College.  It ended up being a great day to end on.

The gang on Jungle Cruise

Jumbo Corndog anyone?????

Again, Spencer was so into the characters...Ethan wanted nothing to do with Buzz.(:

Me and Haley (my roomie from Snow)
Everyone showing off their animation academy drawings....

Ethan was super excited about his.(:

We ended the night with a fabulous pose from the kids.

California 2012 - Disneyland Day 3

The fun continued on day 3.  The highlight of the day was getting my mother-in-law to ride California Screamin'...she picture below for more of the highlights of that ride.(:

Spencer was super excited to drive.(:

I had to get a picture of Whitney in the Buzz Lightyear ride...she is probably going to kill me, but it was so funny to watch her aim.(:
Dennis and Cathy (My mother and father-in-law)

Again, Whitney is going to kill me, but it was too good of a picture not to post.

Me and the boys spent a lot of time in Tarzan's treehouse while the others went on Indiana Jones.

If only they acted as sweet as they look.(:
My cute boys and their wet bums from Splash Mountain

I don't know why or how Spencer knows about Winnie the Pooh, but he LOVED him!

The only reason I am posting this picture is because Winnie the pooh was totally pushing me...I don't think he wanted me in the picture.(:
Of course we had to stop for our daily treat...today was pineapple whip day.(:

The rest of us opted for icecream

I love how Ethan is totally trying to hold the gun straight.  This might work better for him in a couple of years.

The last and greatest picture of the day was when we finally talked my mother-in-law into going on California Screamin'.  She sat by Kate, and lets just say that some curse words were said (not by Katelynn)(:

California 2012 - Disneyland Day 2

We spent most of our time in Disneyland for day 2.  I have to say that the new star tours ride might just be one of my favorites.  It was different every time which made it all the more fun.  We mostly hung out with Matt and Krista on the second day.  We bought lots of fun treats, traded pins, and just enjoyed the day.

Maddie, Austin, Kate, Spencer, Whitney, Colton, Dalaney, Savannah, and Morgan

One of our many cotton candy stops...(:

Ethan was having a melt down, so Mike decided that he needed a churro.(:

My girls decided to get their cousins addicted to pin trading...always tons of fun (said sarcastically).

California 2012 - Disneyland Day 1

We were all super excited to head to Disneyland on Monday morning. We stayed in Newport, so we drove in every day to Disneyland. One thing you might not know about me and Mike is that we are awful at getting to places that we don't go to very often. Well thank heavens for our built in GPS system!! We have driven to Disneyland before, and we knew where we usually go to park, but for some reason we didn't go far enough to the right road, so we turned around and tried to find the parking structure. We found a sign that said Disneyland parking, but it wasn't where we normally park, but we pulled in anyway, thinking they had changed their parking or something. I asked the guy if there was another parking structure and he said there was. He gave us directions, but by this point, my lovely, not so calm husband said that we would just park there for the day. Well, because we decided to stay in that Disneyland parking lot, they made us honorary citizens for the day. We got free parking, a spot right in front, a semi-private shuttle over to Disneyland, a fast pass to Toy Story Mania, and a fast pass for the shuttle back that night. It was awesome, so we headed right over to get on Toy Story Mania. We spent most of our day at California Adventures with Dennis and Cathy, Matt and Krista and family, and Jason and Elisa and their family. In the late afternoon, we headed over to Disneyland and went on a few rides in Tomorrow land. Spencer was fun with all of the characters. He seriously thought it was the greatest thing ever!
All ready to go on one of our favorite rides!

Aunt Krista was nice and took the boys on King Tritans Carosel...probably more than once.(:
cute Savannah and Dalaney

Spencer and Megan were good sports while they waited for everyone to go Soarin'

oh, a bug's life....yes the little ones were in tears by the time it was over, but at least Whitney made it through the whole thing without crying...that was a first for her.(:

Conner, Morgan, Austin, Ethan and Spencer checkin' out Tarzan's Tree House.

Do you see those faces...words cannot describe how excited they were to be going on the Buzz Lightyear ride.

Finally we met up with the Cordero's in Tomorrow Land
Proof that I was actually there.(:

I love this picture...so, so cute...until you notice where Spencer is holding poor old Pluto...(:

We ended our first day with the World of Color water show.  We were clear in the back, but we have seen it before, so it was all good.
