Everything Christmas

So I know this is totally Christmas overload, but I have a lot of catching up to do. I have been enjoying this last week a little too much. It's been full of a ton of family time, relaxing, cleaning, and of course eating. So here are our everything Christmas pictures.Every year we start of our Christmas Season by celebrating Santa Lucia. My dad served his mission in Sweden, and since this is a Swedish holiday, we have always celebrated it. We light candles and have donuts for breakfast. It's always a good way to start the season. The kids finally talked me into bundling them up so that they could play in the snow. (I am not a big fan of the stuff) Anyway, once Ethan figured out what to do with it, he had tons of fun.We always celebrate Christmas Eve with my family. We always start by decorating the grandpa and grandkids tree. Then we have dinner. After dinner we always do the nativity play and then the Christmas Elf comes and brings pjs for all of the kids. Doesn't everyone look so happy!(: It's an inside joke.(: Ethan all decked out in his new duds.
We always have Christmas Breakfast with the Smiths. We have a yummy breakfast, then we open presents and just relax and enjoy being with each other. On the way home from the Smith's, we stop at my parents house and hang out and open MORE presents. This is classic DalaneyThis is a cute family pic of everyone, but me. Anyway, We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Santa Pics

I wanted to hurry and post these cute santa pictures of my kids. Every year at Christmas, our dentist has Santa come to his office. Santa always gives the kids a stuffed bear (I have a ton of them) Anyway, then he has tons of yummy food, like shrimp and fruit and veggies. Do I have an awesome dentist or what!?!

Vegas Baby!

Mike and I just got back from Vegas. This is our second year going to the National Rodeo Finals with Matt and Krista, and Dennis and Cathy. It's always a good little get away right before Christmas. Dennis and Cathy are kind enough to take care of our lodging and this year, Matt and Krista drove. So Mike and I would have been totally pampered, but it was our year to sleep on the couch bed (not so much fun.) Krista wanted us to take the bed, you know, because I'm huge, but we had the nice bed last year, so I didn't think it was very fair. Anyway, my sister-in-law, Lorelei stayed with our kids, and my parents helped out too. So we were able to go and have a lot of fun. Besides going to the Rodeo, we got to go and see The Blue Man's Group -totally fun! and of course we did a lot of shopping at the Cowboy Marketplace, and Cowboy Christmas. It was really hard this year not to buy a lot of stuff for Ethan, since all of this is right up his alley. We ate a lot of good food-no Wendy's or in-and-out this year.(: The night of the Blue Man's Group, we ate at a place called Aquaknox in the Venetian Hotel. It turned out to be really interesting, and really expensive. My mother-in-law wanted lobster and crab and she ended up being the only one with a lot of food on her plate.(: Mike and I shared the Salmon and a salad which both were about the size of my fist. Our total was around $60. Good times.(: Needless to say, we stopped and bought a container of Hagandaas ice cream, and ate the whole thing. The rodeo was great. We all sort of sat together this year and we bought our tickets before we left for Vegas -so I didn't have to barter with a scalper this year-thank goodness. I guess this is going to be a yearly thing, so yee haw Vegas!
The famous Lobster and Crab meal. Dennis was super excited about the bill.(:I love Krista's face in this picture. I pretty much had to force her to get in this picture with me. Mike was havin' a little fun with the Blue Man.(: Is my cowboy cute, or what!

BYU Christmas

The other day, my grandma invited me and my girls to go to the BYU Christmas Party. We had a lot of fun doing crafts, seeing Santa, and eating donuts. My girls were so excited, and had so much fun being with their grandma great. Dalaney was a little shy of Santa.

Ethan turns 2

I can hardly believe that Ethan just turned 2. I don't really know how to put Ethan into words.(: He has always been so different from the girls in just about every way. He has a ton of energy and I don't think he even knows what the words "sit still" mean. He is getting so fun though. He likes to laugh and he smiles a ton. He is a total tease (picture him chasing Dalaney around the house with some object that he is using as a weapon-where do they learn this?) Some of his favorite things are cows (of course), his cowboy hat, when dad gets home from work, his new trucks, his blanket, sliding down the stairs on his bottom, and spitting any type of liquid on anybody (he thinks this is really funny-me, not so much.) We definately love him and are so grateful for him in our family.

Happy Birthday bud.

Thanksgiving (posted just a little late)(:

Happy late Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you all had a great day like we did. I love this time of year. And I especially love all of the food! I feel like we are so blessed every day. I'm so grateful for this holiday, that helps us to remember just how blessed we are. I am grateful more than anything, for my family. And we got to spend our whole Thanksgiving with all of them. So much fun.
