My Baby isn't a Baby anymore!

For Whitney's b-day this year, we got her cake decorating supplies. She had a few friends over to help her decorate a cake and hang out. For her birthday breakfast she wanted to have German Pancakes...and everyone else in the family was happy with that too.(:

For her birthday dinner she decided on Magleby's Restuarant. She invited Grandma and Grandpa Robbins, and we had a lot of fun. Grandma Smith took her out to celebrate a couple of weeks ago, and I forgot to send her with a camera.):

For Whit's b-day, I also signed her up for a beginning cake decorating class. She was actually really good at it and she loved it. The cake boss better watch out.(:
The sunday after her birthday, she made and decorated this cake all by herself to take to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house. Pretty impressive, huh!

It's in their Blood
I LOVE this picture!
Yes, I know it's blurry. Do you know how hard it is to get an almost two year old in focus.(:

I Don't Even Know What to Title This!?!
You see, my sweet husband has this GREAT hobby! He loves cows. Yes, I did know this before I married him, and yes, at one time I will admit, I thought it was kind of fun. I wasn't raised around animals, I was as much as a city slicker as you can be in good ol' Springville, Utah. So when I met Mike, it was a whole new exciting world.
Now that we have been married for almost 14 years, the excitement of constantly being around animals has worn off, just a little.(: If you know me, you know that I am NOT a fan of animals. If you have one, I am not trying to offend anyone, but they are just not for me. So the other day when I heard "mooing" while I was doing the laundry, I just had to laugh a little. Oh my crazy life!
Yes, the night before, Mike had brought one of the sick calves home and he decided that my salon would be the best place for it. Sometimes in life, I find that it is just best to grin and bear it, and that is exactly what I did in this case. I woke up to a house that totally smelled like a barn. I sprayed smelly spray all day and tried not to think about all the pee and crap that was building up on my salon floor (yes, that's what I said)!
Anyway, the calf ended up dying (which I really was sad about), and yes, my husband spent a good hour cleaning my salon, so all is back to the way it was before...thankgoodness. At least until he brings home the next one.(:
Lucky...who wasn't so lucky. So sad.
