Memorial Weekend Craziness!

Seriously, we had the craziest Memorial Weekend. We were running constantly the whole time. But of course we were with family, so it made it all worth it. Make sure you check out all 5 posts about our crazy weekend.(:

Memorial Weekend comes to an end with a Big "Splash."

Finally, after we were done with all the craziness of Memorial Weekend, we decided to sit back, relax, and let the kids swim. Mike had taken Whitney and Katelynn to Delta for the fair, so that's why they aren't in any of these pictures.
It took Ethan a little while to get the hang of the slip-in-slide. He kept running to the side of it.(:

Do you think the water is a little cold!?

Kimberly, Lizzie and Dalaney

Love the bum crack!(:

Ethan and Christian. Yes, Christian has a full leg cast. Technically we don't know how that happened. Him and Ethan were jumping alone out back on the trampoline...I'm pretty sure Ethan had something to do with it. Not good!(:

I Thought the Day would Never Come!

Over Memorial Weekend, my dad also retired. Of course, my dad had been teaching my whole life. He taught me and all of my siblings in 8th grade. I loved having my dad as a teacher...most of the time (You know what I'm talking about dad!)(: He was very strict with me, and would never help me with my English homework, but he was an amazing teacher! He can remember students from years and years ago, and he still has them come up to him all of the time. He taught English for years and years, and recently switched to teaching Geography. I know that he has mixed feelings about being done with his teaching career, but I am excited for him to be able to spend more time with all of us. For his retirement, my siblings and I decided to reprint an old family photo of us. Then on the the mat around the picture, we all wrote a note to my dad. It really turned out great! We gave it to him at his all time favorite place...Brick Oven.

You're amazing dad! Thanks for working so hard all of those years and teaching me the importance of hard work. I love you!

Robbins Family Pictures

So, as you can probably tell, we had a million things going on over Memorial Weekend. We had a baby shower, shopping, visiting cemeteries, my mom's b-day, and my dad's retirement. So, for the first time in years, my family was all together. So, of course we had to get some picutures. We didn't plan anything fancy, in fact, we just kind of threw it all togther. So nobody matched, we didn't have a professional to take the pictures, so we just totally winged it. The outcome...I love them! I have such an amazing family, so it's always fun to get pics with them.

Can ya tell that the kids were getting a little tired at this point!? (Notice Spencer 2nd to last)(:

I love how Bella is looking at Spencer!(:

Memorial Weekend

The Sunday before Memorial Day, Mike and I decided to take our kids before church and visit the Spanish Fork Cemetery. My grandma and grandpa Smith (my mom's maiden name is Smith) are buried there. My grandpa also served in WWII, so we were able to find his flag and name on the memorial wall. It was really neat to talk to our kids about their great grandparents and about how wonderful they were. I never got to meet my grandpa Smith, because he passed away before I was born, so being there, and seeing his accomplishments helps me feel a little closer to him.

I love this picture that I took of Spencer!

Posing by grandpa Smith's honorary flag.

On Monday, we were able to visit the Springville Cemetery to see my grandpa Robbins grave site. I also didn't know my grandpa Robbins, because he also passed away before I was born. My grandma Robbins parents are also buried there.

Showers and Shopping!

Every year, my mom, sisters, and sister-in-laws go shopping in Park City. I, of course, LOVE this tradition. We usually go around my mom's b-day in May to celebrate her b-day. This year, my brother Dave, and his wife Lindsay, live in Vegas. So we decided that we would just make a huge weekend out of it. So Friday night, we had a baby shower for Lindsay (she is having a baby girl in July.) And then on Saturday morning we went to Park City to shop for the day. We missed my sister, Kristi again this year (She's anti-social...JUST KIDDING Kristi!) but we got my sister-in-law Lorelei to go even though she was mega prego at the time.(: I love my family and I love fun traditions that help us to spend more time together.

Lindsay and Dave at the shower. My brother thinks his arms, calves, etc. are fabulous, and he loves to show them off.(: ( He probably will read this and say "Oh, I don't think...I know!)(:

What 12 year olds do when they're bored!(:

Oh to be 12 again.(: It is so weird to watch my daughter acting exactly the same way I acted when I was 12. Although, I don't think I ever did this.(: Whitney and a couple of her friends thought that this was SO funny! They seriously all took turns and did this for about a half hour. These pictures make a mother so proud.(:

Should I be worried???(:

(These are totally Spencer's shorts! I would never let my daughters wear short shorts, let alone Ethan!)(:

End of the Year Programs and Graduations...Yay!!

You might want to grab a snack, and a good cold drink, because this might take a while!(: I got to "enjoy" going to 4 end of the year programs and graduations this year. Ethan had a preschool graduation. No, he is not technically graduated from preschool, but whatever.(: They sang some cute songs and served yummy popcorn at the end. We're excited that he gets to have Ms. Nicole as his teacher again next year.
Dalaney had a cute "long" kindergarten program. She got to be a butterfly, and if I do say so myself, she was the cutest little butterfly I've ever seen.(: She had and loved Ms. Wall for her teacher. Dalaney was lucky too, because grandma Smith got to come and see her program this year.
For Katelynn's program, there was a patriotic theme. They sang some fun songs, and then we got to go to her classroom to see all the fun things that she had worked on throughout the year. She had Mrs. Barton this year and really liked her.
Whitney had her 6th grade graduation. They called out each child's name, and presented them with a diploma. Short and sweet, just like I like it.(: She had Mr. Anderson for her teacher, and liked him most of the time.(: All the 6th grade teachers were fun, and Whitney got to do lots of fun things throughout the year, including Student Council. I sat there through the graduation thinking how old they all looked. It's crazy how fast time flies.
